Solar-charged golf car batteries
Saw the greatest new thing in golf cars the other day, but not at the golf course. Here in the Phoenix suburbs, more and more people are using their electric golf cart to run errands they used to do in their gas-chugging carts. They’re saving money, saving gas, saving the environment, all at the same time. So a guy in a golf cart parks next to me at the supermarket, and I notice he has a fiberglass shade top on it, covered with solar cells. He says he only parks his golf car in the garage at night any more, and the sun charges his golf car batteries. He hasn’t had to plug it into a wall outlet for months!
