Make Sure Your Puppy is Old Enough Before Crate Training
If you have just gotten a new puppy, and you want to housebreak him, then you are probably interested in the topic of crate training puppys. One thing to keep in mind is that your puppy needs to be of a certain age before you attempt to train him. Puppies that are nine weeks or less do not need to be trained. They have to eliminate about once every couple of hours on the average. If you choose to crate them, then they will likely eliminate in the crate which will reinforce bad habits. You want them to want to eliminate in a place other than their sleeping or lounging area.
