The fallopian tubes take the egg from the ovary

Fallopian tube ligation (or “tying the fallopian tubes”) is a surgical procedure to obstruct the fallopian tubes — the tubes that join the ovaries to the uterus — so that she cannot get pregnant (i.e. sterile).Ordinarily, the fallopian tubes take the egg from the ovary to the womb once every month. If a male’s sperm cell meets up with an egg, pregnancy can occur. If the tubes are closed, or “tied,” sperm cells cannot fertilize an egg, and pregnancy will not occur.Tubal ligation is done in the hospital or outpatient clinic while under anesthesia. The surgeon will make 1 or 2 small cuts in your belly region, usually around the bellybutton. The surgeon will insert a narrow pipe with a photographic camera on the end (called laparoscope) into the pelvis area. Surgical instruments to tie the tubal reversal are sent through the laparoscope. The tubes are either burned shut (i.e. cauterizations) or closed with a tiny pin.You should be able to go to home after a few hours of time.
