I’ve been drawing for years but have always struggled with certain subjects. We loaded up the kids and went to a birthday party the other day. At this little festival for sweet junior they had hired a party magician. The first thought that popped into my head was this is going to be an even better afternoon then I first thought. It just keeps getting better and better. But I have to admit once the magician started then I was very impressed and really enjoyed the show.

Audrey and I are still looking for music for the wedding reception. We checked out a bunch of free online music sites over the weekend, and found some pretty cool tracks. We’ve also got all of our favorites from our own collections. We just want to make sure everybody has a good time of it.

We thought about hiring a DJ, but decided that we’d really be better off just putting together some iTunes playlists and running the notebook through the PA system at the country club. We won’t have any special lights on the dance floor or anything like that, but Cameron offered to MC for our first dance and when Audrey dances with her father, etc.

Only three more weeks to wait!

I wish I knew more about photography than I do.  I can say that I know what I like and my untrained eye would say that I like them because of the way the photographer has captured the light.  So when I saw some of the work of Houston Photographer Sylvester Garza I was impressed with the way he seemed to be able to capture all the nuances of the available light.  Having seen that I recommended him to my boss to consider for our companies photography work.  We have not been happy with the one we have been using so this should be a welcome change.
